The Beginning
As a forward: I would like to begin that I am writing this story from the beginning and hope to catch up to where we are currently (10 months since we began this process)
The beginning:
My then girlfriend (spoiler) and I decided to start the process of buying a home together. After a short period of searching, we came across an old farmhouse nestled in the country that dated back to the 1890's.
The house was in need of some love and a handy touch and we were confident that we could give it just that. After a very long (6 month) and dawn out closing, we finally had the keys to our new home.
As you can see in the picture, the lawn was as a formidable foe and a story of its own in trying to wrangle it into submission. However, it was the imperfect deck that showed us what the home could be and made our decision easy.
