A Spontaneous Quack
We have been planning on buying ducks for some time now but had not planned on a date when to do so. Last week when we stopped in to Tractor Supply for some odds and ends, there they were. Being the very spontaneous and thorough people that we are, we bought up 6 right away. Once we were home we had the pleasure of frantically cleaning everything and setting up the brooder. And so we have some nervous, but comfortable new little ones on the farm
Winter is starting to loosen its grip on the homestead as the mud and standing water has now replaced the snow. Baxter is growing fast, well over 30lbs now. He experienced his first off leash hike with his lady partner Juno, he appears to have thoroughly enjoyed it as he had darkened a few shades of mud brown. Unfortunately we did not take any pictures of it.

I was able to expand the tool collection in the garage this past weekend with the purchase of a "new" 1950's Delta Rockwell bandsaw. Between the this and table saw, it has made a world of difference in the work I am able to get done. The first project up was building an incubator to hatch eggs in the near future!
