We can park our car in the garage?

After many months dreaming of power in the garage, I finally had it. My electrician inspected, hooked up, and tested the feed that I ran to the main and sub panel. It's the one part of electrical work that I am glad to hire out to a licensed electrician. I believe I am capable of doing it myself, but I feel more comfortable having it done by a professional. Now that is out of the way, I can get back to finishing the wood shop wiring and have everything up and running soon. 


Before getting back to that, I decided to surprise the wife while she was away by finishing something she would not expect, the garage door opener! Why not stock up on some more husband points in the honeymoon phase of our marriage? The whole process went along pretty well having never worked with one before. The placement was a bit tricky in our garage as there was very little clearance above the door as it opened, so it had to be installed between ceiling joists. 

A half of a days work later and voila! Everything worked on the first try....I may or may not attribute that to reading every step of the instructions, every step...
