Winter has found our little homestead

After a few delays, a little bit of procrastination, and snow looming, we finally put a finished roof over our chickens heads. The first weekend we were going to start ended up not working out, so what better time to start and finish the project than during a snow storm.

The frame work was already in place, all that was needed were a few furring strips and metal roofing. Two hours later, we checked this project off the list. We will add gutters in the spring to lessen the garden watering burden on our well. 

We were able to wrap the run with plastic a few weeks ago, helping keep the wind at bay and keep our little t-rex's warmer.
